Chief Operating Officer, VANCOUVER CHINATOWN FOUNDATION

The Vancouver Chinatown Foundation (VCF) is one of Canada’s most ambitious community revitalization organizations. Through heritage preservation, affordable housing, cultural programming, economic development and placemaking, VCF is helping ensure that Vancouver’s Chinatown remains a vibrant, living neighbourhood for future generations.

As the Foundation enters its next phase of growth and impact, VCF is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to strengthen VCF’s organizational capability, build operational excellence, and ensure the Foundation can continue to scale its mission and community impact.

The successful candidate will be an experienced operational leader and organizational builder who thrives in complex, mission-driven environments. Working closely with the CEO, the COO will translate strategic vision into disciplined execution by building the systems, leadership practices, and organizational capacity needed to support the Foundation’s continued growth and long-term impact. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to lead diverse portfolios, develop high-performing leaders, and align cross-functional teams around shared priorities. They will bring an inclusive, collaborative leadership style, sound judgement, and a consultative approach to working with colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders. Above all, they will lead with humility, integrity, and sound judgement, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service while ensuring that community impact remains at the centre of the Foundation’s work.

The targeted salary range for this position is $150k – $170k annually, supplemented by a comprehensive benefits package.

This is an opportunity to help shape one of Canada’s most ambitious community revitalization initiatives while building an organization capable of creating lasting social, cultural, and economic impact.
