Elevate Your Career – Learn Insider Strategies from a Leading Banking Executive
CPD Credit Certificate available upon request.
Most immigrants, and many nonimmigrants, encounter barriers and obstacles on their paths to career advancement. Few manage to realize their full potential. This workshop is aimed to help you overcome barriers and obstacles by revealing to you some of the secrets to maximizing your career potential.
Our speaker Mei (May) Long came to Canada as an immigrant who spoke only limited English. She overcame her language and cultural challenges, obtained an MBA degree and the CPA designation, and became a seasoned Senior Director at a major Canadian bank, a career coach and a best-selling author. She has also gained a great deal of insights into spirituality, psychology and personal growth, and has guided many individuals toward their career goals.
How did she do that?
Come to this workshop and hear May sharing her extensive knowledge, experience, lessons, insights and strategies to help you get promoted and achieve professional success in a wholistic manner. The workshop will touch on communication, relationship building, personal growth and continuous learning. Specifically, May will cover the following topics to help you achieve what you want:
- Leadership mindset
- How to influence others
- Building sponsorships and good relationships with managers
- Stress management and resilience
- Improving English
- Misconceptions in career direction and job opportunities
