The CPAC-RBC Enhanced Mentorship Program is now accepting applicants

Mentorship has proved one of the most effective ways of helping young people start a professional career in Canada. The CPAC-RBC Enhanced Mentorship Program aims to assist newcomers within three years in gaining knowledge of the Canadian workplace, learning job search and related soft skills, and finding professional employment in their fields of training through the guidance and advice of established professionals (mentors).

This is an enhanced mentorship program, with the additional components of employment counselling and systemic skills training to make the participants (mentees) job ready.

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY:

  1. Newcomers within three years
  2. Graduated from college or university
  3. CLB level 7 or above
  4. Legally entitled to work in Canada

PROGRAM CONTENTS:

  1. Mentoring by established professionals (12 weeks)
  2. Effective communication skills training
  3. One-on-one employment counselling
  4. Job search workshops
  5. Resume writing and interview preparation with experienced career coach
  6. Internship and work placement opportunities
  7. Networking with employers
  8. Connection with professional associations
