We are seeking an Intermediate Automation Engineer to support the design, development, and maintenance of automation systems within our production environment. This role will play a key part in implementing automation solutions, troubleshooting equipment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
Responsibilities:

  • Post-secondary education in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automation or industrial controls (internship or co-op experience considered an asset).
  • Proficient in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
  • Hands-on experience with pneumatics, motors, and control hardware.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Qualification:

  • Post-secondary education in Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (internship or co-op experience will be considered an asset).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a strong desire to learn.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
