Kevin Wu

Kevin Wu is a researcher at Toronto Metropolitan University’s Diversity Institute, specializing in artificial intelligence policy research and applied statistics. He analyzes emerging regulatory and technical trends in the AI landscape – particularly as it applies to Canadian organizations – and conducts quantitative analysis across multiple projects.
Prior to joining the Diversity Institute, Kevin was with the Canadian Space Agency and Health Canada, where he developed data science applications and machine learning models to support ionizing radiation research. His work modernized the federal government’s annual biodosimetry exercise held with participating labs around the world, and contributed valuable research in the domain of space biodosimetry. Kevin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science with a specialization in cognition and computation, and he is currently pursuing a Master of Statistics at Carleton University.
