The Role: Program Manager (Asia Programs)
The incumbent is a key part of our team to assist with vendor and program management and handling special/ assigned projects. Reporting to Associate Director, Asia Programs, you are flexible and adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You accept a non- standard work schedule to support the work and priorities spanning the various global time zones in order to meet the required deliverables and deadlines. Success in this role will require very strong attention to detail, accurate computation abilities, well developed problem solving and analytical skills, capability to multi-task while meeting tight deadlines, possessing a great team spirit through effective collaboration, and competence in handling a large volume of work effectively. Your diligence, commitment, optimism and persistence get the job done.
Your Day-to-Day:
Main Responsibilities
Program and Vendor Management
- Work closely with Associate Director, Asia Programs to capitalize on appropriate opportunities
- Ensure projects are planned, prioritized, communicated and resourced effectively
- Identify and remove roadblocks and variances to project plan, and ensure projects are on schedule and achieve stated objectives
- Identify, quantify and manage resource constraints
- Monitor core vendor’s production scheduling and order delivery
- Work on relevant special requests from customers
- Use risk management tools to identify and mitigate potential risks related to sourcing, supply chain disruptions, geopolitical factors, and vendor performance to ensure project success
- Report on any project related issues/ risks, and support issue resolution and risk mitigation tactics
- Effectively navigate and manage ebbs and flows in day-to-day responsibilities based on shifting priorities and organization dynamics
- Prepare and update weekly reports for key customers and suppliers
- Collaborate with Project Coordinator and other team members to ensure project plans and deliverables are maintained and updated to reflect status of all required actions and commitments
- Establish cross functional collaboration and communication channels as appropriate to optimize processes and to drive efficiencies
- Maintain and update suppliers’ price record, run analysis and price update as required
- Provide expertise to review formula and calculation of pricing analysis and quotations
- Generate PPAP/ISIR reports, and work with team to get reports filled up and verified with QC and engineering team
- Maintain positive interactions to ensure customer satisfaction (both internally and externally) through regular follow-up, effective responses to requests/ inquiries/ concerns, and proactive measures that ensure a smooth and timely process for all orders
Documentation, Reporting and Administration
- Effectively organize, plan and prioritize work to properly complete responsibilities and meet required deadlines
- Exercise flexibility with respect to duties assigned and when communicating with and/or supporting colleagues and customers in different time zones
- Support the business through participation and/or identifying and leading process and workflow improvement initiatives and special projects that may arise from time to time
- Fulfill general administrative duties as per role responsibilities
What do you need to succeed?
Must-Have
- Minimum 5+ years of related experience
- Fluency in English and Mandarin, with highly effective communication skills in general (oral and business writing)
- Minimum 3 years leading large and complex projects
- Professional and courteous manner consistent with our C.O.R.E. values
- Adept at technology (CRMs, Office 365 programs and tools etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with customers and colleagues at all levels
- Well-developed analytical skills with an ability to perform insightful analysis
- Strong mathematical and computation skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in an environment of shifting priorities
- Flexibility to meet the demands of the job, including late evening and/or early morning meetings due to the Asia Pacific time zone difference
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task and work well under pressure

Nice-to-Have
- Relevant industry experience
- Fluency in other Asian languages is an asset
- Demonstrated track record for managing, leading and developing a team is a strong asset
- Completion of post-secondary education in a relevant discipline
- Hands-on experience with Epicor Bis-Track or a similar ERP system
