Under his leadership, the company has grown to be a leading distributor of personal computers, consumer electronics, dry food and health & beauty products and have such big name mass merchant clients as Best Buy, Canadian Tire, Office Depot, Staples and Wal-Mart. Mr. Ng attributes the success of the company to its employees, most of whom are immigrants.

Among the topics of the breakout sessions, “Career Options for Young Professionals” and “Youth Success Stories” will be of interest to young immigrants and university graduates. Popular sessions such as “Career Opportunities with government”, “Strategies to succeed in behavioral job interviews” will continue to attract big crowds. Again, speakers come from various sectors including government agencies, educational institutions, training and career development service providers, community agencies, employers and sponsors.

Close to 50 employers and service providers from various sectors and industries will participate in the Job Fair/Marketplace, bringing in a wide range of employment opportunities or promoting their programs and services to the participants.

“Professionals Day has been one of our efforts in helping immigrant professionals integrate into the community and become contributing members. This is an event where participants will get inspired, learn the latest information on the job market, upgrade their professional skills as well as get connected with employers, industry experts and peers,” said Ms. Yang.
