OPENING KEYNOTE PRESENTATION: Helping Each Other Succeed
Kelvin Vi Luan Tran, Senior Vice President and Chief Auditor of TD Bank Group will be sharing his personal career journey of the challenges and successes faced and how people around have helped him succeed.
Kelvin has held several senior executive positions at TD in the past 17 years including SVP Treasury, CFO TD Securities, and Chief Accountant. Kelvin values learning, mentoring, development and passing on best practices to aspiring young leaders. As the founding President and Chair of Ascend Canada, a leading non-profit organization, he is helping develop the next generation of Pan-Asian leaders. Fluent in English, French and Cantonese, Kelvin is a graduate of Concordia University in Commerce and Accounting. He is also a CPA and a CFA.

Acing Behavioural Interviews with TD Canada Trust
Two of the most important subjects in the job interview process are often ignored: behavioural focused interviewing and soft skills. Representatives from TD Canada Trust will demonstrate how you can distinguish yourself and succeed in job interviews and your careers.
Rachael Wong is currently the District Vice President at TD Bank where she oversees the management and operations of 20 branches, and works closely with 450 teammates across Markham to deliver confident advice and legendary customer experience. After graduating from University of Toronto, Rachael began her career with TD in 1998, where she spent 18 years in various branch banking roles. Rachael supports various diversity initiatives in TD to promote inclusion in the workplace, and she is also a strong supporter youth empowerment programs in the city of Markham.
Trixie Mangunpratomo is currently a Branch Manager at TD Bank in the Markham district. Prior to this role, she was Manager of Financial Services. Trixie started her career with TD in 2009 with an international working permit and since then has been privileged to work alongside great leaders and colleagues who helped her move forward with her career. Aside from her career, she is also a passionate advocate for Women in Leadership and the promotion of Visible Minority talent
Li Hong Xue is currently a Branch Manager at TD Bank. She has worked for TD for 10 years in a variety of roles including Manager Financial Services, Financial Advisor, Manager Customer Service and Customer Service representative.

Samuel Yip is Head of Marketing at eBay. As a first generation immigrant who has advanced his career from an individual professional contributor to a member of the Canadian leadership team at a Fortune 500 company, Samuel has first-hand experience of how his diverse cultural values have influenced his professional behaviors, career advancement and management style. Samuel is passionate about helping people achieve career growth and has recently launched a podcast, Career Talks for Cross-Cultural Professionals, featuring interviews with business leaders from different industries.
Raad Hossain, CPA, CMA is a banker with over 5 years of experience in Capital Markets with prior experience in the telecom industry. He moved to Canada about 5 years ago and started working in Capital Markets Finance at Bank of Montreal. In his current role as a manager working in the Treasury and Balance Sheet Management department, he helps manage liquidity for capital markets and runs projects to build new analytical and regulatory metrics management tools.
Nicolas Rutikanga, is currently an Environmental Advisor at the Ontario Power Generation. His past roles at OPG include External Contractor Consultant, and Management & Professional Trainee. Nicolas moved to Canada in 2013 immediately after graduating from school in Rwanda, East Africa. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering and Environmental Technology. In Canada, he enhanced his engineering software skills at Humber College. He also joined the Licensing International Engineers into the Profession (LIEP) Program in pursuant of a PEng license at the University of Toronto.

Career Conversation Panel: Working for the Ontario Public Service
This panel will provide insight to job seekers about how to secure employment with the Ontario Public Service and the types of opportunities available. Participants will have a chance to hear directly from recruitment professionals about current opportunities available in various ministries, how the organization’s application and selection processes work, the qualities they are looking for from applicants and tips to help secure meaningful and rewarding employment.
Ryan Sandberg is a Recruiter with the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, where he actively recruits for Correctional Officers across Toronto and the GTA. Prior to this, he worked with the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services providing pay & benefits services to numerous client ministries. He first entered the Ontario Public Service in 2009 as a summer student with what is now known as the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development while attending university at McMaster, where he attained an Honours Bachelor of Commerce.
Howard Ferguson has worked with the Ontario Public Service for a 41 years in a number of different roles including Correctional Officer, Recreation Officer, Recreation Manager, Shift/Unit Manager, Staff Services Manager & as Senior Recruiter for uniformed recruitment. Howard has also worked for the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services as a Recruitment Consultant with various ministry portfolios. Howard holds university degrees in Physical Education, Criminal Justice & Human Resources Management and college diplomas in Business Computer Systems and Fitness & Recreation Leadership.
Cally Wilson is a Recruitment Consultant with the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services, supporting Ministry of Transportation clients across Ontario. Previously, she has supported a variety of other Ministry client groups, including Information and Information Technology. Cally previously worked as an Assistant HR Advisor for the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, and as a Talent Management Coordinator within the Center for Leadership and Learning before moving into Recruitment Services.
Moderator: Nimmy Martin, Manager, Recruitment for Randstad Technologies started her HR career in 2003 in New Delhi recruiting talent for banks and the financial sector. She has since worked on both the corporate and agency side, gaining more than 10 years of experience with recruitment. Nimmy is a successful internationally educated professional who has completed the HR Connections bridging program before working with Randstad as a recruitment intern, a recruiter and manager.
