About 2018 TELUS-CPAC Summer Festival

The Summer Festival is hosted annually by the Chinese Professional Association of Canada (CPAC). It is a large outdoor and family-oriented event held in a carnival format, and traditionally attended by thousands of participants. In previous years, we were honoured to be an IGNITE community partner co-celebrating the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Para Pan Am Games, and held a celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday in 2017. This year we invite you to come celebrate the Canada-China Year of Tourism, and together we can further deepen the relationship between Canada and China.

Event Highlights 

Following our tradition, the 15th Annual Summer Festival has no entrance fee, and includes free entry in to draws and games to win grand prizes. Not only have we prepared 6 hours of premium live stage performances, ethnic foods, and 14 types of exhilarating games, we also collected 2000+ prizes for you to win – thanks to our generous sponsors and donors. Amazing prizes include an iPhone 8, FOOTC Smart Scooter (Hoverboard), and an award-winning Ice and Red Wine – all donated by TELUS, CIBC, iTalkBB, Willow Springs Winery, ToyTess and many more. All-Day Live Performance

This year’s performances are a fusion of many different cultures. We have our GTA’s very own MegaCity Swing Band, a full-sized jazz band specializing in Jazz, Latin, and swing tunes. Our program also includes traditional Chinese dancing, circus, martial arts, and magic performances coming from Multi-Culture & Folk Arts Association of Canada, and many other cultur associations in Canada.

DIY Creative Photo Booth

Want to leave with an everlasting token from our Summer Festival? No problem! We have prepared a very elaborate DIY photo booth for you, including props and models wearing traditional Chinese clothing from the different cultures in China. Did we mention that there’s also a chance to get a photo with our Mayor, John Tory?

CPAC Bouncy Castle

Looking for something to make your kids giggle, laugh and jump? CPAC provides the biggest possible bouncy castle, named Jurassic Adventure, to lead you to a pre-historic world that’s guaranteed to make their hearts jump.

CIBC Happy Camp

Led by specialists such as Focus Learning, F45 Training, and Vango Fencing, we bring you 14 exhilarating games and activities from licensed personal trainers, coaches and summer camp counselors. Games include LEGO Mindstorms, Chess, Fitness Challenge, and Creative Art & Crafts – a 360-degree experience for your mind and body! You can get prizes simply from participating in the games. Every time you finish an activity, the instructor will give you a score, and based on the total score you receive, you have a chance to win a $400 Fencing Training camp experience, smart scooter, 3D dinosaur set, or many assorted small appliances!

In our tech-centered world, participants will be looking for a numerical answer within our puzzle. Once you find the correct numbers, you will open up our prize chest.
