Nearly 2000 Job Seekers Attend CPAC Job Fair

TORONTO, September 25, 2023 – The annual CPAC Career Fair was held successfully last Wednesday at the North York Memorial Community Hall in North York Center. Nearly two thousand job seekers attended the event, with the participation of about 30 prominent companies and organizations, including General Motors, RBC Bank, TD Bank, Toronto Police Services, York Regional Police, Edward Jones, Crystal Claire Cosmetics and others, offering hundreds of job opportunities. Additionally, community service organizations such as ACCES, Diversity Institute of Toronto Metropolitan University, and several colleges provided valuable information on employment and career development programs. The event witnessed a bustling atmosphere at every booth, with long lines of attendees eager to connect.

CPAC’s annual career fair, spanning over two decades, continues to attract professionals from diverse fields each year. Through this platform, CPAC provides outstanding employment and career development opportunities, as well as vital information on career training and related courses for professionals of various ethnic backgrounds. This event serves as a remarkable career and job-seeking opportunity, particularly for immigrants and professionals.

It is worth noting that the positions offered by participating companies and organizations at this year’s fair covered a wide range of fields, including finance, accounting, technology, business, sales, customer service, administration, project management, consulting, software development, hospitality, and catering. Furthermore, an on-site “Resume Clinic” assisted attendees in making immediate resume revisions, and career advisors were on site to provide professional career guidance and answer questions.

CPAC expressed its delight as this year’s registration far exceeded expectations. In addition to Canadian citizens and immigrants, a significant number of ethnically diverse individuals holding work permits joined the job-seeking ranks this year. With such extensive societal demand, CPAC plans to host another career fair in the spring of next year to better serve the community.
