“Celebrating Success” CPAC Annual Gala to be held on January 12, 2014
TORONTO, December 17, 2013 –To recognize the outstanding accomplishments of immigrants who have transitioned into new careers in Canada and become very successful professionals in their fields, the Chinese Professionals Association of Canada (CPAC) and the Education Foundation of Chinese Professionals Association of Canada (CPAC-EF) announced today they will be holding the CPAC Annual Gala on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Crystal Fountain Banquet Hall in Markham.
The CPAC Annual Gala is a premier event in the community with over 500 guests and patrons in attendance every year. “This is one of the largest annual events in GTA for the Chinese community, where CPAC members, join their supporters, officials from all three levels of government, business leaders, other associations and professional groups to celebrate the successes of CPAC in 2013,” said Ms. Margaret Yang, President of CPAC.
Dr. Adrian Cheung and Ms. Bang-Gu Jiang, co-chairs of this year’s gala, say one of the highlights will be the “Professional Achievement Awards,” a category created in 2009 and which honours immigrants who have made outstanding achievements in their professional careers. In addition, the fundraising gala will celebrate the year’s achievements, including students who have won Education Foundation scholarships and prizes.
