CPAC Celebrates 20 Years on September 28

August 22, TORONTO – The Chinese Professionals Association of Canada (CPAC) will be hosting its twenty year celebration event – CPAC’s 20th Anniversary Gala on Friday September 28th: a lavish banquet and celebration for more than a thousand guests at the All Stream Conference Centre in down town Toronto.

The CPAC 20th Anniversary Gala will be a grand banquet to celebrate all of CPAC’s achievements in the past two decades. With a national membership exceeding twenty-seven thousand, CPAC has become one of Canada’s largest not-for-profit organizations and has much to celebrate. CPAC founders, staff, partners, sponsors, and members will gather together for an evening of festivity, socializing, and entertainment.

CPAC will also be using the evening celebrations to recognize all those who have donated their time and support to CPAC in the past twenty years. The CPAC Lifetime Contribution Award will be given to the person who has made the greatest contribution to CPAC. In addition, CPAC has been given the privilege of presenting 25 Diamond Jubilee Medals in honour of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The awards will be presented to worthy individuals who have not only helped CPAC but also the betterment of Canadian society.

The Gala evening’s entertainment will include internationally renowned illusionist Ryan Joyce. With more than 25 years experience learning the crafts of magic and 18 years and1200 performances as a performer Ryan promises to mystify and amaze. His stage shows have been heaped with praise leading Canadian music icon and CBC Radio One host Jann Arden to proclaim to Ryan: “Holy Moses!! You are a star!!!” Ryan is also a noted philanthropist having raised more than 2,000,000 dollars for charity. Everyone in the room at the gala can be assured that something is going to disappear – be it a fire truck as he’s done in the past or his lovely assistant – faster than their dinners.

This event is sponsored by: BMO Bank of Montreal, Canadian General Accountants Ontario(CGA Ontario), HSBC Canada, TD Bank Group and Hainan Airlines. Over one thousand guests will be attending the gala. High profile participants will include representatives from the federal and Ontario provincial government, mayors from Ontario municipalities, and officials from three levels of government of China. Business leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, as well as all CPAC sponsors, partners, staff and members will all be attending. With the Sino-Canada forum, lavish celebrations, exhilarating performances, delicious food and the opportunity to mingle with friends, Dr. Hugh Zhao – the president of CPAC – extends a warm-hearted invitation to all to attend this premier celebration Gala.
