CPAC Holds Its 2026 Annual General Meeting, Honours Retiring Directors and Recognizes Long-Service Employees

CPAC Successfully held its 2026 Annual General Meeting on the evening of July 29, 2026, at the CPAC Conference Hall. The AGM brought together CPAC members, directors, staff, volunteers and community supporters to review the organization’s achievements, financial position and future priorities. The agenda included the annual work and financial reports, the appointment of the auditor, constitutional and bylaw amendments, the election of directors, and recognition of retiring directors and long-serving employees.

The meeting was chaired by Bill Ye, Vice President of CPAC. Helen Cao, President of CPAC, presented the 2025–26 work report, highlighting CPAC’s major programs, services and community initiatives during the past year. Howard Shen, a member of the Finance Committee presented the 2025–26 financial report and provided members with an overview of CPAC’s financial position and operations.

The AGM also passed a number of constitutional and bylaw amendments, which were presented by Andi Shi, CPAC’s Executive Director.

During the election, Allen Yao and Kaiyan Fu were newly elected to the CPAC Board of Directors. Helen Cao, Ti Wang, Lynda Xu and Lawrence Yu were re-elected to the Board.

CPAC also recognized retiring directors Eric Xiao, Andrew Xu, Stan Yu and Hugh Zhao for their dedicated service and valuable contributions to the organization.

As part of the AGM, CPAC presented Employee Long Service Awards to Lily He, Program Director, for 20 years of dedicated service, and Nancy Fu, Office Coordinator, for 10 years of dedicated service to the organization.

At the first meeting of the newly constituted Board of Directors immediately following the AGM, Helen Cao was re-elected as President of CPAC for another two-year term. CPAC’s President is elected by the Board from among its directors.

To enrich the evening, CPAC also presented a special seminar entitled “Planning for the Future: Navigating Seniors’ Housing and Care Options.” The seminar was delivered by Kaiyan Fu, CPAC’s newly elected Board Member and an award-winning health executive, who provided practical guidance on comparing seniors’ housing and care options, understanding the application process, planning ahead, and supporting aging parents.

CPAC congratulates all newly elected and re-elected directors, thanks the retiring directors for their dedicated service and valuable contributions, and recognizes its long-serving employees for their commitment and dedication. CPAC looks forward to continuing to support internationally educated professionals and to contributing to a more diverse, inclusive, and prosperous Canadian society.
