Failing the ERC Interview for Engineer Licensure? Free Workshop provided at May 31’s CPAC Professional Day and Job Fair

CPAC Professionals Day 2014, a career development conference and job fair for immigrant professionals in the GTA, will be held on May 31 at Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel.

Continuing the decade-long success of this event, the 13th CPAC Professionals Day will bring a new lineup of speakers, employers and service providers and will be held in an upscale facility to match the profile of this event. The one-day event features a keynote speaker and 10 breakout sessions on various career related topics. Close to 50 employers and service providers from various sectors and industries will participate in the Job Fair/Marketplace, bringing in a wide range of employment opportunities or promoting their programs and services to the participants.

In this session, you will learn how to distinguish a well prepared experience record from a poorly written one, which will make a huge difference when it comes to your interview with the Experience Requirement Committee (ERC). There will be a live demonstration of the interview process with participation from the audience. Good answers at the interview will ensure success of fulfilling the experience requirement in the licensure process.

Matthew Xie has been a member of ERC at PEO for more than a decade. Matthew served as the PEO York chapter chair in 2007 and 2008. Edward Poon is a former chair of PEO York Chapter and a former Director and Secretary of Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE).  He is currently a member of PEO’s Enforcement Committee and several task forces with PEO.
