General Interpreting Diploma Program

Career Shift: Become an Interpreter

Glendon College has a strong tradition of preparing future leaders through world class liberal arts education. Glendon is one of the only campuses in Canada to specialize exclusively in the liberal arts and do so in more than one language.

If you are interested in becoming an interpreter and you speak English and at least one other language (Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic and Russian) then Glendon’s General Interpreting program may be just right for you.

The General Interpreting Diploma program at Glendon College, York University is an online based training program. Students are able to manage their own time and are not required to attend courses at the Glendon College campus. In only one year of study, you will receive a diploma in general interpreting.  When you have almost completed your first year of study CPAC will meet with you and help you to help explore a number of career and education options beyond just a general diploma. CPAC’s employment service centre will help you maximize your potential in this exciting field.
