Learn Effective Parent-Child Reading – Join us for Storytime with Author Echo Liu on May 4th at CPAC

Meet children’s writer Echo Liu on May 4th at CPAC for Storytime. The first 10 registered to attend will get a Chinese children’s book from CPAC. All the participants will have a chance to get a signed copy of the book written by Echo. Open to the public and free to attend. Spots are limited, first come first serve. CPAC members will have priority.

Highlights:

• Meet the author Echo Liu in person and spend Storytime with her;
• Children will have the opportunity to read the story with Echo;
• Parents will learn practical and effective parent-child reading skills, and learn how to nurture children’s reading interests and improve their imagination, expression and creativity through reading.

Date: Saturday, May 4, 2019

Time: First session 2:30 – 3:15 pm; Second session: 3:30 – 4:15 pm

Venue: CPAC Meeting Room, 4150 Finch Ave. East, Scarborough M1S 3T9 (Free parking)

Target audience: Children age 3 to 8-years-old and their parents

Language: Mandarin and English

Please note that only one family can register for one session, not two sessions. There are 20 spots for each session and we will consider CPAC members first. If you are a CPAC member, please state your membership number when you register.

About the Author

Echo Liu is the founder of Skyky Publishing Co. and the founder and Chair of Skyky Multicultural Learning Foundation. She is also a gifted writer who creates fairytale stories from our daily lives with a childlike heart and unbelievable imagination. Since 2014, Echo has created 60 stories, with 20 audio versions and 13 paper publications.

Echo creates stories to not just stir kids’ laughter, but to tell kids how to respect and appreciate their parents, how to love nature, how to learn about independence and forgiveness, and how to help others. Echo’s books assist parents with helping their children to lead happy lives, and win the hearts of children and parents with the endearing stories and elaborate illustrations.

Echo is also passionate about charity. She has been volunteering at many foundations and has conducted many fundraising campaigns for them. Together with her team, Echo is working on efforts to build a platform for children to develop their interests and talents for writing and drawing.
