Putonghua-English Interpreters Needed by HKTDC

Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) in Toronto will organize and facilitate a Presentation Session & Business Matching Meetings in Toronto on June 12, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for Canadian automated and clean manufacturing technology companies interested in looking for investors and business partners from Hong Kong and Mainland China.

They are looking for 15-30 Putonghua/English consecutive interpreters with pay, the rate to be advised, to facilitate a visiting Chinese delegation in conducting individual business meetings with Canadian companies.

Each interpreter will be assigned to one Chinese company to provide Putonghua-English and English-Putonghua consecutive interpretation service to the company and the Canadian companies it is meeting.  It is expected that each company will have 6-10 meetings for the morning of June 12th and all the meetings will be conducted at the same venue – a hotel in downtown Toronto.

The ideal candidates should have:

– Good command of spoken English and Mandarin

– Good communication skills, and punctual; and

– Knowledge of automated manufacturing technology, clean manufacturing technology for Light Manufacturing Sectors will be an asset.
