Rosalie L. Tung

Rosalie L. Tung is an internationally renowned scholar of management and a Chaired Professor at Simon Fraser University. She has served as the President of the Academy of Management, the preeminent international association of management scholars, and the President of the Academy of International Business, the premier association of professors of international business. She was the 2017-2020 Dean of the Fellows, Academy of International Business, and is the 2023-2025 Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Business Studies, the top journal in the field. Prof. Tung has been inducted as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, the Academy of Management, the Academy of International Business, the British Academy of Management, and the International Academy for Intercultural Research. She was awarded a Gold Medal for “most substantive contributions” in the Journal of International Business Studies. Her numerous other awards include the John H. Dunning Academy of International Business President’s Award, the 2021Academy of Management, International Management Division Eminent Scholar Award, the 2019 Academy of Management’s Distinguished Service award, the 2020 Academy of Management, International Management Division Outstanding Service to the Global Community Award, and the 1998 Vancouver YWCA Woman of the Year Award in Management, the Professions and the Trades.
Prof. Tung was formerly a Wisconsin Distinguished Professor and Director of the International Business Center at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She has served on the faculty of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and as a visiting professor at many universities in U.S., U.K., Denmark, Hong Kong and China. She has also served on the United Nations’ Task Force on Human Resource Management.
Prof. Tung has published extensively on the subjects of international management. Her research has also been cited in leading national and international newspapers and news magazines.
