Three Young Entrepreneurs Share their Success Stories on July 26

Entrepreneurship Seminar hosted by Enlight, Young Professionals Division of CPAC, is centered on helping you refining your ideas and start growing them into great businesses. The seminar will focus on Entrepreneurship and Innovation. It is facilitated by experienced entrepreneurs who will share their practical methods, explore potential business opportunities, and help turn young entrepreneurs into business owners.

Introduction of the speakers

1. Assaf Weisz

Assaf Weisz is co-founder and partner at Purpose Capital. Assaf leads the company’s Strategy and Design practice, creating both investor and venture side market building initiatives which cultivate a pipeline of investment opportunities, and infuse impact investment into other ecosystems, such as post-secondary education, aboriginal economic development, and subsidized housing.

He has led Purpose Capital’s work on making post-secondary education a catalyst for impact investment, and on developing a commercialization vehicle for emerging social-purpose technologies. In this capacity, he has also identified, vetted and advised dozens of startup and established ventures.

2. Eric William Dolan

Eric co-founded two other companies/ organizations including Covers 4 Change in 2012 and the Alooksie in 2013. In 2013, Eric participated in the Next 36 as the Selection Weekend Finalist. With sufficient and across-field entrepreneurial experience, Eric is now the guest writer for topics covering entrepreneurship and startups on Techvibes.com.

Eric is an experienced entrepreneur, with a Business Management degree, Specialization in Finance and Administration, from Western University. Eric was the founding member and council member of DECA Inc. (2005-2009), at where he became the Western Invitational’s Sponsorship Lead in 2012.

3. Keri Damen

Keri leads the entrepreneurship programs team at MaRS. MaRS Entrepreneurship Programs includes live educational series (such as Entrepreneurship 101 and MaRS Best Practices), intensive small group workshops delivered across Ontario (Entrepreneur’s Toolkit Workshops), and online resources in the Entrepreneur’s Toolkit.

Prior to joining MaRS in 2008, Keri worked in a number of roles dedicated to building educational programs and content including the Youth Employment Initiative (YEI) at the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia, the European Foundation for Entrepreneurship Research (EFER) in the Netherlands, and the Schulich School of Business at York University.

Keri has an International MBA (IMBA) from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
