Toronto Responds: Support for Hong Kong Fire Victims
“ 大火毁家園・我們送希望——為大埔受災者募款”

One of the deadliest fires in Hong Kong’s history has claimed 159 lives, left 31 missing, and displaced thousands, with about 2,000 households urgently needing support. Low-income families, seniors, and vulnerable residents are among the hardest hit. In response, we are launching the “Toronto Responds: Support for Hong Kong Fire Victims” Fund to provide urgent financial aid, medical care, long-term recovery support, and community rebuilding.
This six-week campaign is organized by major Toronto charities, including the Chao Chow Association of Ontario (Canada), Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto, CPAC Foundation, and Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation.
All funds will be directed to the Community Chest of Hong Kong, which has already allocated HK$50 million for relief, providing condolence payments to bereaved families and emergency grants to affected households. Funds raised in Toronto will further strengthen these efforts.
Together, we can help survivors and support the recovery of Hong Kong’s Taipo community.
