Young professionals have the opportunity to upgrade their seats
October 21, TORONTO – CPAC (formerly Chinese Professionals Association of Canada) and CPAC Foundation announced at a press conference today that they will be holding the CPAC Annual Gala on November 29, 2015, at Sheraton Parkway North Toronto in Richmond Hill.
“The CPAC Annual Gala is a fundraising event co-hosted by CPAC and the CPAC Foundation for the charitable work in three areas: Helping internationally trained professionals (ITPs) who are new to Canada obtain licenses, find jobs and integrate into society; promoting education and providing scholarships and bursaries to students who have demonstrated social responsibility as well as academic excellence; cultivating leadership among immigrant professionals,” introduced Ms. Margaret Yang, President of CPAC at the press conference.
It is a premier event in the community with over 500 guests and donors in attendance every year. This is one of the largest annual events in GTA for the Chinese community, where CPAC members and supporters celebrate CPAC’s successes this year.
The highlight of the gala will be the presentation of the Professional Achievement Awards, which recognize the achievements of outstanding immigrant individuals who have overcome various barriers and made incredible strides in their professional careers.
CPAC has been providing a platform for young professionals from all fields to network, mingle, and learn from the best in business and society. This year, sponsors will have a special opportunity to show support to CPAC and the young professionals’ community. At each sponsor table, two tickets will be reserved for two young professionals that have won an “upgrade” for their tickets purchased before the “Early Bird” deadline of November 8th, 2015. To enter the contest, these individuals simply have to comment on the Young Professionals Division of CPAC, Enlight’s WeChat group with their ticket number, and say why they would like to sit at a particular sponsor table. TD Meloche Monnex, RBC Royal Bank, CPA Ontario, Harmony Village Sheppard, TD Canada Trust, Street Capital, HSBC, Henry Global Consulting Group, Freedom 55 Financial, Goldenmount Capital International Inc., JNE Group Companies, Homelife landmark Realty Inc. , Ocean Packers Inc. , Timur’s The UPS Store, Respon Wealth Management Corp., Seneca College are a few sponsors that have been confirmed to date. “We are very proud that we are able to support ITPs and young professionals achieve their personal and career goals and bridge the gap between dreams and reality,” said Mr. Richard Lim, President of CPAC Foundation.
As always, the evening will include an excellent live performance, and a silent auction feature many unique and one of a kind items. Two famous Chinese artists, Zimo Cui and Jin Zuo came to today’s press conference in person and drew two oil paintings on the site. They donated the paintings to CPAC Foundation for Gala’s silent auction.
CPAC and the CPAC Foundation thank all the donors and sponsors of this fundraising event, particularly Presenting Sponsor, CPA Ontario, Diamond Sponsor, RBC Royal Bank of Canada and Platinum Sponsor, Harmony Village Sheppard. “RBC is very delighted to partner with CPAC, once again this year to celebrate the achievement of Internationally trained immigrant professionals and thank their contribution to Canada at the CPAC annual gala.
